Born and raised in sunny Venezuela, half Italian from my mother's side, hence bilingual Spanish-Italian. I also lived in my early childhood in the USA so my first language actually became English. To top it up, I also studied French as a young adult.
I have been lucky to visit so far about forty countries and lived in five. I have a relentless curious and creative mind, constantly learning new things.
My passion for travel and airplanes lead me to become a commercial pilot after finishing high-school. Before I could take-off with any local airline that would hire rookie pilots, I had the opportunity to take part in a summer camp for Tuscan descents in Siena, so I went already with the intention of staying in Italy, without looking back.
Validating my licence in Europe proved to be harder than I thought, so after I moved to Milan, I kept my wings on the ground and studied Aviation Law and Business Management, continuing my journey in the travel and hospitality industry, working for airlines, online travel agencies and tour operators. I became an expert in every commercial and operational aspects of tourism and dealt with all kinds of fascinating stakeholders.
After some ups and downs, I ended up working on board a cruise ship, sailing mainly in the Mediterranean sea. Among my tasks, I had to support the Excursions department activities and it was there where I met the sweetest and most wonderful human being from east Ukraine. Long story short, we got married soon after setting foot ashore in our season break.
We stopped sailing after one more season and moved to Florence, capital of art and good food, where we felt thrilled to be waking everyday the same streets Michelangelo and Da Vinci walked a few centuries earlier.
Always thirsty for more knowledge, I attended a master in Marketing for Tourism and Oenogastronomy, followed by a course in entrepreneurship with the intention to become part of the food industry and open my own restaurant. I learned a lot in the process but it was not the right time for that dream to materialise.
I found an opportunity to work in London for a major destinations management company serving cruise lines calling in the UK, so our British chapter began.
After a couple of years in the hectic capital, i worked briefly for Google before working for a shuttle bus company connecting Stansted Airport with the big city, so we moved to the English country side. Then new chapters unfolded, so we ended up by the shores of west Norfolk, where I work for a manufacturing company selling their products worldwide.
The natural reserves in this area of the country are simply amazing and we constantly immerse our senses in fresh sea breeze and forest charm.
In the past few years, I have dedicated particular attention to everything related to healthy nutrition and veganism, environmentalism, animal welfare, philosophy and psychology. I have been an ethical vegan for over three years now and feel better than ever. My principles are finally aligned with my every day actions.
I see myself as an eclectic cosmopolitan on a journey to emphasise the virtues of life. Conscious of our brief and precious existence, always looking for cognitive and spiritual enrichment, evolving to become a better kind of human, taking positive action in every aspect of life to be the best version of myself I can be.
Pick My Brain! I want to help you understand better how beautiful and precious our journey as humans is and how we can all thrive living a healthy ethical vegan lifestyle.
My mission is to inspire others to live more ethically and consciously, to embrace the awakening of our own consciousness, understanding our existence and becoming the best version of ourselves everyday, in a healthy and enjoyable way.
I want to help everyone looking to take their first steps as vegans, transitioning and thriving, finding fun and tasty recipes, understanding how easy it is to source everything we need to nurture our bodies and minds properly, along with tips and insights on what veganism means as a lifestyle, beyond a plant based diet. I can also help those already on a vegan lifestyle to stay and thrive in this ethical path.
I am open to sharing experiences, recipes, support when things get uphill, demystify some wrong concepts and debunk misinformation about veganism, help omnivores understand vegan friends and family members and how to host inclusive events, find new ways we can all take positive action for our health and the environment.
