About

My story:

I didn't always know I was a storyteller.

In fact, I found out by accident.

The first story I wrote for an emerging media company broke all their records and almost crashed their website, I realized I had something special: the ability to see into a multitude of human experiences and pull on the threads of what makes us the same - what we see in others that is the same as what we feel in ourselves, no matter how different our circumstances.

In marketing, that ability to connect regardless of race, age, gender, sexual orientation, demographic, or any other "statistic" is the secret to creating a community of people that believe in your mission, enroll in your vision, and remain loyal for life because we can see and value them as human, first.

The thirst for understanding humans and human behavior, paired with powerful storytelling and ethical marketing and funnel strategies has allowed me to help people grow their bottom lines while keeping their beliefs and values in tact.

My mission:

To connect people back to their own stories so we find meaning in our experiences and acceptance, understanding and connection in each other, bringing marketing back to connecting in our shared human experiences.

My core values:

#honesty #integrity #respect #DEI #empathy

My greatest accomplishments:

-> 10x my business in 2020 as sole earner for my family and first year full-time.
-> My stories of entrepreneurs have ranked #1 on Google, averaged 8 minutes time spent on page, and featured on About pages and podcasts.
-> Multiple “viral” story-based posts for clients with 500K+ organic reach.
-> Only female featured contributor in #1 industry magazine in male-dominated industry.
-> Best-selling Children's co-author (with my husband!)
-> I've taught my storytelling framework to 7- and 8-figure entrepreneurs and in masterminds alongside Steve Sims, Lisa Torres, and Christina Jandali.
-> My clients have built their IP, scalable frameworks, found their origin story, launched their first offer, booked their first client, finessed a 6-figure funnel, 3xed revenue during a pandemic, grew their audience to 10K+ organically, and more.
-> I've told stories of NBC news personalities, Hall of Fame athletes, award winning authors, and 7-figure entrepreneurs - all of which made them and/or their parents cry.

My hobbies/activities:

#horses #read #hike #family #explore

My goals:

1. To make storytelling as simple and accessible as it should be.

2. To empower others to know and share their stories, to tell their truth, and integrate this into their marketing, so we're all more understanding, empathetic, and impactful.

4. To make marketing and online business what it should be: impacting humans while making an income that allows us to have the power to change our world for the better.

Fun facts:

Born & raised in Vancouver, I grew up on great storytellers over CBC radio like Stuart McLean.

I'm an avid animal fanatic, my first gig as an entrepreneur was as a freelance horseback riding instructor at 15. You learn a lot about having to communicate and teach when surrounded by 1200 lb animals with their own instincts and ideas.

I left home at 19, packing my car with whatever would fit and saving the front seat for my dog, to adventure across the US with my now husband. We've since moved across the country three more times.

Both times my children were born I was the sole financial contributor for our family, both times I lost my job in the week following their births and had to rebuild on our own, with no safety net. My husband is now the very happy stay-at-home Dad and educator, baking bread and making Kombucha and beer. It works for our family.

I've personally told the stories of NBCSports personalities, Hall of Fame Athletes, NY Times Bestselling Authors, Miss America competitors, and eight-figure entrepreneurs and they're exactly the same as you: no one really knows what they're doing day-to-day, we're all just navigating what it means to be exceptionally human.

I want to learn more about:

My portfolio:

Storytelling should feel easy and accessible for every human - after all, it's natural to who we are, how we know ourselves, and understand our world.

After years of telling stories, training others, and working on my craft, I came up with a simple three part framework for every story that anyone can replicate.

Use it to craft your stories!

Alena came to me with a proven product that was in a format that wasn't serving her. She was tired of feast/famine and stressful launch cycle.

We transitioned her offer into a more sustainable and evergreen model, restructuring her product, marketing, and delivery methods.

We also built a sales page for her "new" offer and strategized a "launch" that is more enjoyable, fulfilling, and in alignment with her lifestyle and personality, hitting 70% of her conversion goal with her first soft launch event.
