My story:

I am a survivor, veteran, and serial entrepreneur dedicated to serving the change-makers of today. Currently an On Deck fellow, a YCombinator alum, and mentor.

After a dozen "passion-driven" startups, recovering from a terminal health status helped me realize my purpose in serving others. I've biohacked my way back and am here to share my story to inspire while finding ways to help others get clarity on their journeys.

My mission:

I believe deeply that the entrepreneurs, makers, and change-makers of today are the tip of the spear moving humanity forward and I am dedicated to accelerating the advancement of humanity by finding ways to empower the innovators of today and tomorrow.

I am here to flip the odds of success and help more change-makers fail less.

My greatest accomplishments:

> Creating my own career since the '90s

> Founding or co-founding over a dozen startups and half a dozen physical businesses

> Founded/operated two charities
.. ForEyes (recycled prescription eyewear from urban centers to developing areas
.. AbunDance (proceeds from nightlife events funneled to delivering potable/drinkable water where needed)

> Bootstrapped/self-funded almost all my startups

> Mentored over 300 YCombinator alums

> Former Executive Creative Director of a top tier design and marketing agency with over $100M in results

> Leading architect/engineer of the first distributed networking systems (WAN/LAN) while in the US Navy

> Surviving death repeatedly including now having biohacked my way back from an end-stage health status

> Recently awarded best OD Build for ALL Hands: On Deck, a platform designed to funnel donations and sell merchandise with 100% of proceeds going directly to the On Deck Access Fund for fellows who can't afford entry, democratizing access to On Deck to the financially disadvantaged globally - built solo in only 6 hours, in the first-ever Global Build Weekend encompassing all verticals and cohorts active in the On Deck fellowship ecosystem

My goals:

I aim to:

> Provide path-specific clarity at scale to today's change-makers

> Separate the signal from the noise in startup/micro/indie business topics

> Build a platform where people with ideas, makers, and early-adopters can effectively communicate at the right stages

> Build a center supporting my local community through entrepreneurship training that also serves and an idea validation studio/incubator with proceeds from successes returning to the community

> Write a few books

> Become a philanthropist

> Build my dream home that I designed nearly 20 years ago

Fun facts:

I am not only a serial entrepreneur but often a parallel one too - meaning I have multiple business efforts at one time.

In other lives, I have made waves as boardsporter, boxer, DJ/producer, musician, event promoter, and even a tattoo artist
