I was born in Antwerp, Belgium (1970). After training to become a chef, I travelled the world and worked as a waiter and sommelier in hotels and Cunard's flagship, theQueen Elisabeth 2'. At 29, I started my own business, a gourmet deli. What had felt like a gift from the universe, a step up in life, quickly turned out to be a financial disaster and a personal prison form which I could see no escape and led me into an existential crisis, wanting to give up on life.
But then, in my despair, something unexpected happened. I was thrown a lifeline. A lifeline that I could grasp and allowed me to pull myself out of my misery and futurized myself.
Today, I'm an Osteopath and Body-centred Stress Coach with a private practice in Brussels. I'm also a wellbeing futurist, a speaker, the author of Futurize Yourself - Design your life on purpose and the proud founder of the 'Reaset Approach,' a novel body-mind and educational approach to manifest your best future' stress resilient' self today.

My first diploma at 18 was chef-de-cuisine. I only started to study osteopathy at 31 and got my Masters when I was 49.
For one evening I was the private waiter for rock legend Rod Steward.

I've healed people at a distance... yep that is even weird for me but who am I to argue when the results are there.
A presentation for 'Fear & Fail' I gave in 2017 on how I futurized myself and designed the life I have today on purpose (2000) and now (2021) have made it into an ongoing reality.
"One day I woke up in my cold and damp bedroom and thought: “What's the point of living, trying, or doing anything? Really, is this what life is all about, a mere struggle to survive day in and day out?”
It seemed completely preposterous to me that life was just that, a continuous fight against the odds with now and then a spark of joy but completely meaningless and then, to someday die, never really having lived at all. That was in 1999 ...
I this video I'm welcoming the participants to the online TEDx I organised and hosted in 2020 on the topic of What the Future?!. FYI: Organising this TEDx started with the intention to evaluate if a limiting belief I had was still valid. I believed that I couldn't lead or coordinate people. I had had disastrous experiences when I had taken management roles when I was in my twenties. So I thought that managing people was not for me. But what I noticed in recent years was that people were asking me to manage and organise events and when I did I liked it. So while I was doing it and liking it, I still believed that I couldn't lead people. Yes, a strange situation. When I became aware of it is when I said to myself I need to challenge myself and do something bigger. The result is that I have no doubts anymore of my potential and coordinating abilities and added coordination on my list of talents.

Organising and hosting TEDxVilvoorde (2020) was done for a purpose: Overcoming my limiting beliefs I couldn't lead and organise people. Yep, my face says it all I can, did and will continue to do so to create a good future for all.
In "Futurize Yourself - Design your life on purpose" Tom describes his transformation story, how three questions saved my life 20 years ago, gave him a sense of purpose and helped him find his potential which in turn helped him to transform himself from a good for nothing, depressed, suicidal and unhappy person to become on purpose the international therapist, speaker, trainer and author he was born to be and is today.
